Camp!

This has been a busy summer! Ariel and I have
been working at a Christian camp.
It's been fun and draining!
The camp was 15min away from Lake
Michigan so we went there often.
We are all headed to the lake!

Here I am at Lake Michigan!

This experience was much like a
mission's trip...

Many of the campers were not saved
and it was a challenge working
with inner city youth.

An uninvited guest!
Or were we HIS uninvited guests?

Memorable camp songs...

Fun games...

 Unforgettable bus rides...
Playfull teens...
Never a dull moment.

It's been fun!

Sorry about the bad lighting in this px.

This has been a summer we will never forget!

Helping Auntie Tiffani

Britany and I enjoyed helping Auntie Tiffani in her classroom.

The children prepared presentations for Senator Tupac Hunter ( our fabulous uncle:).

The 4th graders were so cute. ;)
Auntie Tiffani is a fun, exciting teacher. All the children love her.

Of course the kids weren't perfect; but then again, who is?

Class Dismissed!  What a great experience!

Homeless Boy Steals The Talent Show

My sister sent us this link.  Her comment was that the clip is "heartwarming", and I must say I agree.

Lake Michigan

We had a wonderful time on the way to the wedding of David and Summer Rains!
Take a walk with us on the beach of Lake Michigan...

Wiggle your toes in the sand.
The water was actually a bit chilly, but look at those lovely waves!
Could it be? Yes, you can find some of everything on the beach... a yucky pacifier right before your toes...

Hope to see you again soon Lake Michigan!

Ariel's Recital

It's been a long time since we've posted.
 = )
At least we've got one post for the winter season!
Air had her Junior Recital,
so we have a few pics of the special event...

A few outdoor photos were taken the day
before...
Posing in a winter wonderland

Mittens are essential
for cold fingers just before the performance.

There were two other students who
performed pieces as well.
Eleanor played the oboe and Emily was
the violinist of the evening.
Everyone did a wonderful job!

Air with the Van girls...

Here with her Frazer fellowship friends.
They even gave her beautiful flowers for the occasion.
